The goal of all teachers and staff at Bellchambers Music School is to provide each student with a quality music education which will establish their love of music for life.
In 2016, Bronwen Mackenzie took ownership of Bellchambers Music school and is working to advance the school’s excellent reputation through the tradition of high standards of excellent teaching and dedication shown by all teachers and staff.
Bronwen started music in a Canberra primary school music playing trombone in the school band. She completed a Diploma in Jazz Performance at the Canberra School of Music, and moved to Brisbane to work as a freelance musician with the Queensland Symphony and Queensland Philharmonic orchestras where she also taught instrumental music and conducted at various schools including Brisbane Girls Grammar.
After completing a Graduate Diploma of Music at Griffith University, Bronwen went on exchange to the United States of America to undertake a Masters in Music at Northwestern University, Chicago.
On return to Australia, she joined the military as a musician and worked in the Royal Military College of Duntroon Army Band. Bronwen has also worked in the Army as an education specialist and holds a Graduate Diploma of Vocational Education and Training and a Masters in Adult Education. Becoming Director of Bellchambers Music School has allowed Bronwen to return to her first two loves, music and music teaching.
